Job Description-Donation assistant

 Elizabeth City Habitat for Humanity is seeking an individual to assist with donation pick-ups for its store in Elizabeth City. Pick-ups are scheduled for Saturdays, usually 1-2 times/month. The amount of time each day depends on the number and location of pick-ups. For example, a pick-up at the beach would likely take longer than pick-ups in the Elizabeth City area.

Duties: Assist Warehouse Manager with pick-ups of donations. These donations may be from locations from Pasquotank to Dare County and occasionally Perquimans. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Dolly provided to help move large objects. Assist with bringing donations into the store upon return.

 Salary: $8/hr. Taxes and social security are the employees responsibility. We will file earnings statements to the IRS.Covid-19 requirements-in accordance with Elizabeth City Habitat for Humanity’s Covid-19 Vaccination and Mask policy, all employees and volunteers must be vaccinated or take a Covid-19 test prior to working. While picking up items and delivering them to the store, employees must wear masks. This policy applies to all employees and volunteers after Jan. 1, 2022 and was written in accordance with guidelines issued by Habitat for Humanity International to protect the health of our employees, volunteers and customers.
